"There really should be a word for this feeling," she said. "Something like euphancholy. On the one hand you're bursting with happiness, but at the same time you're melancholy because you know you're losing something or that this moment will be over. That it will all be over." - Hard Land, Benedict Wells

Euphancholie is a unique cuvée, inspired by the Solera method, consisting of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. Thanks to the Solera aging, the wine is accessible even at a young age, which distinguishes it from classic Bordeaux blends, which often require many years of aging. Euphancholie is a Bordeaux blend for Pinot lovers, combining the elegance and accessibility of a Pinot with the depth of the Bordeaux grape varieties.
The name "Euphancholie" combines euphoria and melancholy, inspired by the novel "Hard Land" by Benedict Wells, and reflects an emotional balance that is also reflected in the wine. Produced in small quantities, the grapes come from the winery's own garden and a small vineyard in the Kriegsheim rose garden.
